St. Alphonsus Catholic Church
Chicago, IL
Challenges present themselves when updating an existing traditional church. Keeping the existing chandeliers was important to maintain continuity for the parishioners while working with the design goals of more light and reduced maintenance. Additional fixtures were added to highlight the stations of the cross and supplemental lighting was used, tucked subtly into the back altar to bring an overall updated illumination to the interior renovation and repainting of the church.
