CHICAGO (June 20, 2022)-- AKLD Lighting Design has opened their Mountain West office in Denver, Colorado which will be led by Lighting Director Lisa Bartlett, the award-winning architectural lighting designer with 25 years of experience in the realm of lighting, architecture, and design.

“Lisa has an extensive portfolio of diverse work and client relationships and is the perfect person to lead our Mountain West office,” said Anne Kustner Haser, President and Design Principal. “Lisa will expand AKLD’s reach and diversity of project types in one of the fastest growing geographic regions.”

Lisa has worked in both specialty lighting design and multi-disciplinary environments, guiding lighting projects as diverse as large hospitals, corporate offices, and civic institutions to successful completion around the country. She is a recognized thought leader in the lighting industry, delivering presentations on lighting and health for IESNA and LightFair, among other leading industry associations.

Lisa is known for bridging the gap between research and design. By utilizing evidence demonstrating the impact of light on human health, she executes innovative lighting solutions that support wellness.

Lisa will also share her deep passion for lighting and design to mentor staff, supporting a culture of growth and opportunity within AKLD. She will be supported by Harmon Lee, Lighting Specialist from the University of Colorado, Boulder and will continue to grow the footprint in the Mountain West.

Bartlett studied at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and Steelcase University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and has a Bachelor of Science, Interior Design from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas. She has been the recipient of numerous lighting design awards including the prestigious IES Illumination Award, 2021 – Lighting Controls Innovation Award of Merit.
